Traverse City, MI (May 17, 2013)--MyNorthTickets, managed by MyNorth Media, the producer of Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine, announced today seven new organizations are selling tickets using MyNorthTickets processing and marketing services: Leelanau Children's Choir, Fountain Point Inn & Club, Leelanau Children's Center, Beaver Island Boat Company, Esperance and Northwestern Michigan Fair. These seven Northern Michigan organizations will be able to process ticket sales using the MyNorthTickets services online, via phone and on-site box office management options. Services include selling tickets from the MyNorthTickets.com website as well as on each organization's website.
"Being able to sell tickets to our Northern Michigan audience has been a natural step in our mission to protect and celebrate Northern Michigan's resources," says, Deborah Wyatt Fellows, MyNorth Media president and founder of Traverse Magazine. "Now someone can come to MyNorth.com, find a Northern Michigan hotel, cottage rental or a home, seek out a restaurant, hike or a picnic beach, and now get tickets to ride a boat, enjoy a show or concert or even take a cooking class. It's all right here--easy and accessible from your tablet, smartphone or computer."
The MyNorthTickets website has been adding new organizations since it launched in October, 2012 and now sells tickets for 50 organizations. The current list of organizations ranges from Manistee to Traverse City to Leelanau, Petoskey, Charlevoix and even Mackinac Island and covers a wide variety of Northern Michigan activities including cooking lessons, winery tours, boat rides, concerts, theater, festivals and more.
"We're delighted to welcome these Northern Michigan organizations to the MyNorthTickets community," says Drew Warner, account executive for MyNorthTickets.com. "From the start, we're able to improve their visibility with our audience of more than a million and allow customers to buy tickets online 24 hours per day."
The Leelanau Children’s Choir and Leelanau Youth Ensemble were founded in 1992 and are currently celebrating 19 years of vocal music excellence. Our mission statement, “Changing the Future One Voice at a Time," reflects our goal to train Northern Michigan children to sing beautifully according to the highest standards, to integrate musical literacy and performance practice, and to return the gift of song to our Northern Michigan community.
Established in 1889, Fountain Point is a National Historic Site with 54 acres of manicured lawns and woodlands and nearly 1/2 mile of panoramic Northern Michigan shoreline on Lake Leelanau. In addition to serving as a home venue to many events, the location is also a Northern Michigan bed and breakfast hotel with antique furnishings and 19 comfortably refurbished, 1-7 bedroom cottages.
The Leelanau Children's Center is a celebration of community spirit and admiration of young Northern Michigan children and their families. LCC was founded by a Mom who sought to provide a place where parents and their preschool-aged children could play together, learn from one another, and develop relationships. Leelanau Children's Center events follow that same mission, including Month of the Young Child Parade, Dia Del Niño Carnival, the Annual Leelanau Children's Center Golf Scramble and other fundraisers.
Beaver Island Boat Company has been providing the most relaxing, affordable transportation for people, pets, vehicles, and freight to Beaver Island for over 25 years. Enjoy a 2 hour boat ride across 32 miles of Lake Michigan on an open air deck or relax in a passenger cabin. Beaver Island offers pristine woods, isolated beaches, hiking and biking trails, and uncrowded campsites, as well as fine dining, hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts and cottage rentals. Those searching for a truly removed up-north destination will find it on Beaver Island.
Pram & Suzanne have been running Esperance in Charlevoix for 13 years and have been in the hospitality industry since the 70s. Their dining and wine oriented events in Northern Michigan seek out great products and bring attendees the best possible ingredients to make a table shine.
Kirtland Center for the Performing Arts is home to the Performing Artist Series, Kirtland Youth Theatre, Kirtland Community Theatre, and Rising Phoenix Student Theatre Company and the Theatre Arts Department of Kirtland Community College.
The Northwestern Michigan Fair has annually operated at its current location for thirty-three years on Blair Townhall Road, celebrating the agricultural heritage of Northern Michigan with all the fun you'd expect at a fair including 4H and animal displays, midway rides, the election of a Fair Queen, grand stand events like quad races and motocross and demonstrations of what's new and interesting. The sole purpose of the Northwestern Michigan Fair has not changed from what it was in 1908: The promotion of Michigan agriculture, horticulture, education, mechanical arts, fine arts, fruit and grain products, stock raising and dairy products, domestic science and kindred interests throughout the Grand Traverse Region.
