(Traverse City, MI)--Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine is pleased to present today $2,025, the proceeds from ticket sales at its Red Hot Best Bash fundraising event, to three great local charities: The Michigan Legacy Art Park, The Grand Traverse Land Conservancy and Camp Quality Michigan. The presentation at the offices of MyNorth Media, Traverse Magazine's parent company, included leadership from all three charities.
"It is our honor to present this donation to these organizations as they enrich our communities and improve the lives of the people that reside in Northern Michigan, " says Deborah Wyatt Fellows, founder and editor in chief of Traverse Magazine and president of MyNorth Media. "These charities celebrate and preserve Northern Michigan's pristine landscapes, creative minds and happy hearts."
The Red Hot Best Bash celebrates the launch of the Red Hot Best of Northern Michigan, unveiling 315 winners in 100 categories ranging from Best Local Artist to Best Whitefish. Winners were determined by the more than 9,000 votes that flooded MyNorth.com over the course of three months, surpassing the previous years voting by more than 1,000. Each winner is currently featured in this years June issue of Traverse Magazine making the issue a must-read summer guide for everyone who loves Up North. Many winners also showcased their award winning products at the Bash!
It was an evening full of delicious food, beverages, and unbelievable talent. More than 25 local restaurants, wineries and breweries were accompanied by nine local singer/songwriters and rock bands on the third floor of Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel. Party guests also had the opportunity to sample more winners after the Bash in their Red Hot gift bags. Local winning salons, bookstores and souvenir shops provided some of their items for guests to take home, allowing the evening's fun to continue beyond the party. All guests also received a complementary copy of the June issue of Traverse Magazine.
"As we all witnessed at the Red Hot Best Bash, our community has the unique ability to celebrate one another with a lively, spirited party while simultaneously helping organizations that sustain Northern Michigan." explains Fellows. "We look forward to more events like this and are already working on how to make next year's Best Of Bash even more Red Hot than before."
