Northern Michigan Home & Cottage: Color, detail and a passion for the Harbor Springs landscape and lifestyle all work together to form the basis of a Très Belle Interior Design. Beyond that, I enjoy getting to know my clients and spending time with them as we explore their tastes to create new fresh interiors. Integrating my clients’ favorite pieces along with unique furnishings and fabrics to customize their new or revamped space is very rewarding. There is nothing better than the big reveal at the end of a project when the client realizes that we’ve captured their vision.—Carrie Blanck, Très Belle Interiors, 231.526.9691, tresbelleinteriors.com
1. In today’s paperless culture, paperweights have become lovely objet d’art—as manifested in these trillium-filled orbs, created by Harbor Springs glass artist Harry Boyer in homage to the beloved Northern Michigan forest flower. $45–$50. Boyer also made the trillium bowl shown here. $100. Boyer’s work has appeared in Smithsonian magazine and was included in the Flint Institute of Arts exhibit, Captured in Glass: Historic and Contemporary Paperweights.
