Leelanau Conservancy
Your outing: Take advantage of Saturday’s predicted warming temps and head out on snowshoes to explore Houdek Dunes with the Leelanau Conservancy (free). Afterward, drive north a few minutes to Fischer’s Happy Hour for one of those famous egg salad sandwiches, a bowl of chili and some hot cocoa.

Got snowshoes? Strap them on and join us for a winter hike around the Houdek Dunes Natural Area near Leland. These 330-acres are waiting to be discovered as you hike with docents Judy Hoeffler and Ann Mason. Winter boots also appropriate if the snow is not too deep. Please call to register (231-256-9665).

Docents Ann McInnis, Ed Arnfield and Marsha Buehler are ready to help you find and identify animal tracks left by the various critters that live at Kehl Lake. Snowshoes best if snow is deep.
