Traverse City Dennos Brings Japanese Storyteller to Northern Michigan

Northern Michigan Arts: Traverse City's Dennos Museum presents Kuniko Yamamoto with the opening of the exhibition Modern Twist: Contemporary Japanese Bamboo Art, February 22 at 8 pm. Enchanting audiences of every age, the dramatic storytelling implements myths and fables from ancient and modern Japan, spiced with social revelations to educate and amuse.
Kuniko uses traditional Japanese music, handcrafted masks, stylized movement and a touch of magic to create an artistic balance of illusion and reality.
