Cary’s Spicy Tomato Juice
Cary Adgate, the most decorated skier in Michigan history, is a hearty believer in a healthy breakfast before he hits the slopes. Here’s his recipe for spicy, invigorating tomato juice.

Ingredients
- 1 glass tomato juice
- 1 teaspoon horseradish
- 1 teaspoon Claussen dill pickle juice
- 1 Claussen dill pickle
- Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Blackened Redfish Magic seasoning blend, add to taste
Preparation
Stir the horseradish and pickle juice into the tomato juice. Sprinkle with Redfish Magic seasoning. Garnish with the pickle.
*Adgate says a little vodka, celery seed and fresh lime juice is okay to add, too—but only if you’ve won the race!
