T.C.’s Dennos Museum presents “paintings” created entirely of light.

Traverse City’s Dennos Museum Center will host the illuminating exhibition “Stephen Knapp: Lightpaintings” this spring and summer. Knapp‘s medium is light: bold, luminous and vibrantly colored beams, shaped by dichroic filters and mirrors. The result? A stunning sculptural canvas that melds the traditions of kinetic art, op art and abstract painting.

What: Stephen Knapp: Lightpaintings.

When: The exhibit runs April 13 through August 31.

Where: Dennos Museum Center, 1701 East Front St. in Traverse City, 49686, at the entrance to the campus of Northwestern Michigan College.

Cost: $4 adults, $2 children, free to museum members.
