Surf's Up in Lake Superior
There's still open water and word on the (snowy) beach is that the wind is picking up.

Shawn Malone of Marquette who photographs Great Lakes surfing and other crazy things Yoopers do, tells us the surfing isn't over yet in Lake Superior. Say wha'?!
Yep, Great Lakes' surfers are known to push the season into ungodly months like December. But come on, the end of January? Malone says there is still open water around Marquette and a big wind is promising healthy rollers this weekend—both of which equal great surfing, and the dudes who do it up above the bridge are waxing their boards.
