Northern Michigan Events: A Spanish wine dinner at The Bay Leaf in downtown Traverse City marks Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine's and US Wine Imports' first collaboration on a foodie event.
Spearheaded by Tim Tebeau, food and wine editor for Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine and wine distributor for US Wine Imports, "Local Food, Global Wine" is a new collaborative effort which aims to represent Northern Michigan as an international food and wine destination. Area restaurants will feature event dinners, pairing world-renowned wines with Northern Michigan's culinary talent. Guests will enjoy tastes of wines paired with coursed dishes, then have the option to buy their favorite wines for one's home cellar.
"Local Food, Global Wine" will hold its first dinner at The Bay Leaf in downtown Traverse City on Wednesday, January 25th at 6:30 p.m. The Spanish-themed five course dinner (see menu below) will pair unique Spanish wines with Executive Chef Adam McMarlin's signature house-made cuisine created from local and seasonal ingredients, making for an incredible culinary event you won't want to miss. For reservations to Northern Michigan's first-ever "Local Food, Global Wine" event, call The Bay Leaf at (231)421-5912.
Bonus! Everyone who buys a case of wine at the dinner will receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Traverse, Northern Michigan's Magazine; and...anyone at the dinner who signs up for Traverse Magazine's Food & Wine E-Newsletter will be entered in a drawing that night to receive a lovely gift.
