Northern Michigan Events: Strap on your snowshoes for Leelanau Outdoor Center's 1st Annual Snowshoe Stampede at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Bundle up, bring friends, family, next-door neighbors and more to Northern Michigan's newest tradition. Warm up with a bowl of chili by the fire and see the Leelanau Outdoor Center covered in snow!
Highlights of the big day include:
- 5K Race and 1 Mile Snowflake Race (12 and under)
- Food and Entertainment at the Lodge
- Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place
- Net proceeds go to Tuition Assistance for schools to attend Leelanu Outdoor Center
Registration/Rental Information
- Early registration is availabe now at $15 and includes lunch
- Day of race registration is available at $20
- Snowshoe rental available at $12 for adults, $8 for kids
