Somethings just go together: Peanut butter and jelly, Fred and Wilma, and skiing and après-ski beers.
Shanty Creek’s 4th annual Beer and Boards microbrew festival at Schuss Mountain will feature up to 30 seasonal and specialty craft beers from Short’s, Bell’s, Founder’s, New Holland, Dark Horse, Arbor Brewing, Jolly Pumpkin, Right Brain, Arcadia, Cheboygan, Keweenaw, The Livery and Mt. Pleasant Brewing.
The event will take place Saturday, January 19, slopeside behind Ivan’s in Schuss Village in a large 40x40 heated tent. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 3pm—the après-ski happy hour. An end time has not been set; with darkness and outside temps, patrons will likely move inside Ivan’s by 6pm to enjoy live entertainment from Stereo Deluxe. Entry tickets to attend are $10 dollars—but only $5 with a Shanty Creek lift ticket or season pass. Lodging packages are also available, starting at $119 including one night's lodging, one Superticket lift ticket and a "Sample 10 Beers" pass for Saturday.
Drink tickets will be available for purchase. One ticket for sample pour; two tickets for big pour.
