2010 Parade of Homes & Developments: And the Winners Are!
The ballots are in from The Home Builders Association of Grand Traverse Area Builders' showcase event.
The 2010 Parade of Homes & Developments, from June 19 through June 27, featured a stunning array of craftsmanship and quality produced by the Home Builders Association of Grand Traverse Area.
Here are the homes that won the prestigious People’s Choice Awards:
Pathway Homes; Home #8, 4299 Pine Meadows, Traverse City
A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located in Traverse City’s Lone Tree Subdivision. Voters responded to its design, energy efficiency and affordability with a touch of luxury. Home #8 won for homes valued at between $165.000 and $280,000.
Durango Homes; Home #1, 4869 Old Trail, Frankfort
Voters loved this rustic design, inspired by grand old National Park lodges. Designed and built by national, regional and local award winning Durango Homes for the second home or retired buyer looking for a retreat that provides main floor living along with space for the extended family, friends and/or hobbies. Home #1 won in the category for homes valued at between $315,000 and $476,000.
Bay Area Contracting, Inc; Home # 15, 1584 Lodge Pole Ct., Traverse City
Situated in a serene, wooded setting on a beautiful, sparking inland lake, this welcoming home blends a spacious, open floor plan with cozy details. How could voters resist! Home # 15 won in the category for for homes valued at more than $650,000.
Sean McCardel Construction; # 13, Verndale at East Bay, off Hammond Rd., Traverse City
The builder describes this development as a "a community where residents share the principles of home, family and sustainable living. It is a place where green building means value." Voters agreed! #13 won the People's Choice for Developments.
