Don't let high gas prices keep you from an Up North summer vacation. Timber Ridge RV and Recreation Resort, a year-round woodsy campground and park near Traverse City, is offering two different deals to help you offset the price of travel:

Deal No. 1:

Book two separate stays this season--a three-night per visit minimum, based on four people per site or cabin ($5 fee per additional guest)--and you'll receive a $20 gas card.

Deal No. 2:

Book two separate stays this season--here, a two-night per visit minimum, based on four people per site or cabin ($5 fee per additional guest)--and you can stow your RV or trailer at Timber Ridge for free through September 1.

Where to stay within the park?

Big rigs, RVs, pop-up trailers and tents are welcome here. If you're looking for luxe lodging in the great outdoors, check out Timber Ridge's new park models. Essentially miniature homes up to 400 square feet, the park models are available for weekend, part-time and seasonal living. (Remember: Timber Ridge is open year round.)
