Opening on Thursday, July 17, Traverse City-based Miracle Productions will start its fourth season of Yeston and Kopit's play, Phantom. This musical, based on Gaston Leroux's classic novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra, had less exposure because Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera debuted first.
Musical director Jeff Cobb and choreographer Erin Peck will lead the production. Performances for the six-show run take place in Milliken Auditorium at Northwestern Michigan College (1701 Front St., Traverse City).
