Northern Michigan Wine: This week, combine two of Traverse City's most glorious features: the stunning views of Lake Michigan, and wine. Get in your car with a few friends—windows rolled down and music turned up—and head for the Traverse City Wine Trail. This scenic drive will take you up Old Mission Peninsula, stopping at wineries like 2 Lads, Bowers Harbor, and Chateau Grand Traverse along the way to sample Traverse City's finest. Should you begin to feel hungry on your journey, stop at one of Old Mission Peninsula's restaurants for a bite to eat. Old Mission Tavern, just a few miles from the Old Mission Lighthouse, offers delicious food for both lunch and dinner.
