Time to give thanks: the big hits of natural snow and cold temps—perfect for snowmaking—means Crystal Mountain is opening its slopes on Thanksgiving Day (9am-4:30pm).

Crystal’s earliest opening day in three years will see skiers and riders cruising down at least four slopes. (The total number of open slopes hinges on snowmaking conditions in the coming days.) To celebrate the season opener, Crystal is offering special holiday rates on Thanksgiving and all weekend long.

Ski Deal

Between November 27 and 30, lift tickets priced are priced at $20 (adults 16+), $15 (juniors 9-15), and children 8 & under FREE. Ski and snowboard rental will be $20 (adults 16+), $15 (juniors 9-15), and $10 for children 8 & under.

The slopes will be open Thanksgiving Day through Sunday from 9am-4:30pm. The slopes will be closed Monday, December 1 through Thursday, December 4 to take advantage of snowmaking opportunities and then reopen on Friday, December 5.

For the latest conditions check out the snow report and live webcam at crystalmountain.com or call the snow conditions hotline at 1-800-YOUR-SKI.

Weekend Bonuses

In addition to fun on the slopes, Crystal Mountain has a number of activities scheduled for the Thanksgiving Reconnect Weekend (November 27-30): The Turkey Vulture Trot 5K & One-mile Fun Run begins Thursday (November 27) at 9am. After the run, you can feast at Crystal’s Thanksgiving Day buffet. And on Saturday, the village core will be set aglow with thousands of twinkling lights for the First Light Celebration (5pm).
