Armchair Travel: Joyride through Vintage Up North

We love this MGM Technicolor film reel from the 1940's, showcasing our Northern Michigan playland.

It's a hoot to watch this eight-and-a-half minute 1940's James A. Fitzpatric TravelTalks film, "Roaming through Michigan," a nostalgic nod to the beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City's cherry-picking darlings, bear whisperer Spikehorn Meyer, the Straits of Mackinac (before the Bridge!), Mackinac Island, the Soo Locks and more points of Michigan pride.
