Northwest Michigan House of Hope

Mission Statement

Northwest Michigan House of Hope is a residential home and school for troubled teens. We are located in a beautiful setting in Northern Michigan on a forty acre farm estate. House of Hope is a private faith based Christian home for teens. We accept students from all walks of life, regardless of race, creed, or religion. Our program works with the student and parents to restore the family. We provide teens with structure in a safe environment. In addition to Hope Academy's curriculum, designed for teens to work at their own pace, gardening, art therapy, automobile restoration, cooking, weight training, basketball and soccer are part of the weekly accomplishments.

Brief History

House of Hope was established as a non-residential center in 1997. Our residential program began in 2001 with teenage girls for three years. Our boys' program was added in 2004, and a fourth home is under construction. The master plan, developed by our facility board, is designed for fifty teens, and will include a counseling / prayer center, school and gymnasium. In the near future, a cafeteria and life skills center will be added.

Goals

Hundreds of young people are dying every day. Since 1999, Northwest Michigan House of Hope has been offering hope and a second chance at life. Our goal is to have each teen not only complete House of Hope, but also discover the purpose for their life and bring great value to their community as a productive citizen.
