HOW DID YOU SLEEP LAST NIGHT?
We spend up to one-third of our lives sleeping –or we should. We are instead becoming a sleep-deprived nation, staying up late, getting up too early, wired to electronics rather than embracing the sleep needed to function well. Sleep problems affect nearly half of employed adults, and they have difficulty getting through the day as a result.
Poor sleep can also make you sick. Many of us stop breathing hundreds of times during sleep, a condition called sleep apnea, which can contribute to heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and depression. Disrupted sleep also leads to weight gain, with resulting medical conditions from the added weight. Associated snoring generally disturbs the bed partner.
Dr. Walker has spent 25 years building sleep programs in Northern Michigan. He currently offers testing to patients in 9 cities and covers 22 counties. He has built a “dream team” of caretakers utilizing registered respiratory therapists, sleep technicians, and a certified nurse practitioner with advanced training in sleep medicine.
Our comprehensive approach follows patients from initial diagnosis through treatment and on to improved sleep and improved health. At Sleep Diagnostics, we specialize in diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, it s all we do!
Our caring and professional team is committed to our patient’s healthy sleep.
