Northern Michigan Events: The SFJAZZ Collective will perform the music of Chick Corea at Interlochen Center for the Arts' Corson Auditorium, Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.
The SFJAZZ Collective is an all-star jazz ensemble. For fall 2012, the roster includes alto saxophonist Miguel Zenan, tenor saxophonist David Sanchez, vibraphonist Stefon Harris, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, trombonist Robin Eubanks, pianist Edward Simon, bassist Matt Penman and drummer Jeff Ballard. Tackling the material of jazz giant Armando "Chick" Corea, the Collective will perform new arrangements of his work along with original compositions by each of the members.
