Northern Michigan Beer: Savor some of Michigan’s best brew, food, and entertainment and still feel good about yourself because you can work it all off with an endurance-style bike ride during the Bell’s Beer Weekend at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. This is “big kid” fun only for those age 21 and older.
Notes Bell’s Jason Toothman, “Bell’s and Grand Traverse Resort is a perfect pairing, because we both have a long history of serving the community and with the Iceman Cometh Challenge too. It’s a great way to celebrate in Pure Michigan fashion.”
Why Bell’s Beer? Because Bell’s Brewery, based in Kalamazoo, is the title sponsor and the official beer of the Iceman Cometh Challenge, a 29 mile point-to-point mountain bike race from Kalkaska to Traverse City that takes place the first Saturday of November. Grand Traverse Resort and Spa’s Bell’s Beer Weekend anticipates the race.

Then the fun cranks up with the 26-mile Iceman Cometh Practice Ride Saturday, October 19 (10:00 a.m. start) guided by Einstein Cycles of Traverse City. The 10:00 a.m. start will be held at the Kalkaska trail head and ends at Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort.
