Northern Michigan Schools: It is a cool night in the woods of Ludington State Park, where forty-eight sixth grade students from Goodwillie Environmental School sit close together around a fire. They are bundled in blue hoodies and self-knit hats; their zip-off pants are blackened by dirt and sticky with stray bits of marshmallow.
