About Porcupine Mountain
Porcupine Mountain Ski Area has the second highest vertical in Michigan at 787 feet. The Porkies, surrounded by views of wilderness and Lake Superior, offers great scenic skiing in the Midwest and family value with 2 for 1 lift tickets everyday! The Porkies also has the Midwest's only snowcat skiing operation. Snowcat skiing at the Porkies!
The snowcat takes passengers to a new separate mountain named Everest, just west of the Porcupine Mountain main ski area. Everest features over 100 acres of in-bounds backcountry terrain and lots of fresh powder. Ride the Expedition Everest Snowcat as it takes you to the top of a half-mile wide virgin forest to explore! The snowcat will also service the wide open slopes of the west side of the Porkies.
