By Rebecca Reynolds
Director of Waiting for Mamu, Thomas Morgan, discusses his documentary film about Pushpa Basnet, a Nepalese woman who works to free children who are living in prisons with parents who have been convicted of crimes. The practice is a tradition in Nepal when no other housing is available for the child. Basnet, who founded the child protection organization in her early 20s, was a CNN Top 10 Hero in 2012. Conducting the interview is Rebecca Reynolds, a film producer (Girl on a Train) and special assignment interviewer for MyNorth.com during the Traverse City Film Festival.
