Traverse City Events: If you missed the annual Special Olympics of Michigan Polar Plunge into Lake Michigan, here is your opportunity to kickback in a warm environment and enjoy the freeze action. Since the ice wasn't thick enough for a classic Northern Michigan hole-in-the-ice plunge, a search and rescue team was on hand to break the ice, creating a runway and jump experience that lasted a little longer than your normal hole in the ice shock wave. Warning: May cause shivering and the need for a hot bath!
