Watch as Traverse City comes alive on March 17 for the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration. Named after Saint Patrick, Ireland's most recognized patron saint born 387 AD, March 17 day is a public holiday in Ireland, as well as Newfoundland, Labrdor and Montserrat. While Traverse City doesn't take the wearing of the green to a full day off for all, the town does kick up its heels as it celebrates the Irish.
