Manistee's Port City Street Fair offers musical entertainment, arts & crafts, special exhibits, historic building tours, antique and classic car and machinery show, outdoor cafes, chili cook-off and Century boat show.
The Alden Volunteers host a Road Rally starting at the Alden Depot Park. Drivers will receive instructions and clues and will be judged on accuracy. The route takes drivers on 95% paved and very scenic roads. A nominal fee will be charged based on the number of people in each car.
Beyond the Bay Film Series opens the season with a French drama, Flight of the Red Balloon . Juliette Binoche stars in the film written by Hsiao-hsien Hou and Francois Margolin, and directed by Hsai0-hsien Hou. French with English subtitles. Sun. shows at 3pm and 6pm, Mon. and Tues. at 6pm. Bay Theatre in Suttons Bay, on M-22 north of Traverse City.
