Northern Michigan Events: Third Annual Acme Fall Festival

Northern Michigan Events: The Third Annual Acme Fall Festival will be packed with family friendly events on Saturday, September 29, 2012. This year the festival will take place at Flintfields Horse Park on Bates Road in Williamsburg, near Traverse City. With free admission and free parking, it's a great way to get the family out for a fun September day.

Here is the schedule of activities:

7:00-11:00 a.m.

Pancake Breakfast, $7.00 per person.

10:00 a.m.

Apple and Cherry Pie, and Dessert Contest; baked goods must be delivered by 10:00 a.m., judging begins at 2:30 p.m.

10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Craft Show and Live Demonstrations

10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Farmers Market, Bake Sale and Silent Auction

Kids Activities: Pumpkin Coloring, Pony Rides, Bounce House, Kids 12 and under bring your jazzed-up wagon, bike, skate board, etc. and enter to win! Please arrive at the kids area by noon to register.

Car and Truck Show and Tractor Display, Men’s and Women’s Divisions. The first 75 cars registered will receive a goodie bag. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 10 and Best of Show. $10 registration fee.

Live Entertainment

11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Chicken BBQ and other yummy treats. $10 per person. Includes 1/4 whole chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad and a drink. Tickets may be purchased at the following businesses: Woodland Sweets, Northwestern Bank-Acme Location, Ace Hardware-Acme Location, Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital, Hoxsie’s Farm Market, Subway-Acme Location, Invisible Fence, Wagon Wheel Farms, and Advanced Awning.

11:30 a.m.

Wings of Wonder Live Raptor Show

All activities are presented at Flintfields Horse Park on Bates Road in Williamsburg in cooperation with the Acme Business Association.

A portion of festival proceeds will be donated to the Acme Christian Thrift Store and Food Pantry (ACTS). Voluntary monetary donations and non-perishable packaged and canned food items for the Acme Christian Thrift Store and Food Pantry (ACTS) will be accepted at the festival.
