Leelanau County Snowshoe Stampede tromps through Northern Michigan in its second year this February. Between Leland and Glen Arbor, the grounds for the stampede are at the Leelanau Outdoor Center in Maple City. Adults can stretch out their winter blues on the 5K trail while kids 12 and under take on the 1 mile Snowflake Race. It all starts at 10:30am on Saturday, February 15th, 2014.
So come bundled up, bring friends, family, next-door neighbors and more to race or cheer on the snowshoe racers! Enjoy a bowl of chili by the fire and see the Leelanau Outdoor Center covered in snow.
