Incredible Mo’s—a family entertainment center located 10 miles south of Traverse City—has partnered with three Northern Michigan charities to create The Incredible Birthday Party Project.  Inspired by the desire to give back to the community and make a difference in the lives of children, The Incredible Birthday Party Project will provide free birthday parties at Incredible Mo’s to kids and families in need.  For every 5 birthday parties booked, Incredible Mo’s will donate 1 party to needy families.

The owners of Incredible Mo’s—Chris and Sandra Mohrhardt—were inspired by the many successful parties they’d hosted at their facility, and sought to share the experience of having memorable birthday parties with children who would otherwise be unable to share such milestones with family and friends.  Says Chris Mohrhardt: “One of the great joys of our first year in business has been seeing smiles on the faces of those we have helped—and knowing that we’re creating those fond memories.”

Child & Family Services of Northwestern Michigan, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan, and Goodwill Industries of Northern Michigan have all teamed up with Incredible Mo’s to organize The Incredible Birthday Project.

“We’ve been looking for a way to participate in the community; we’ve donated birthdays to causes as they come to us, but we wanted to do something bigger.  I actually got a pair of TOMS shoes as a gift, and when I read about their buy-a-pair-donate-a-pair policy, I thought, We need to do something like that,” says Morehardt.
