Traverse City’s Dennos Museum will host a music and art presentation by Tibetan monks entitled “Mystical Arts of Tibet” from Monday, April 14th to Saturday, April 19th. Monks from the Drepung Monastery in Tibet will visit Traverse City to share their rich cultural history by first creating a sand mandala—a ritual symbol prominent in Buddhism made of colored sand that takes several days to produce—and then performing traditional multi-phonic Tibetan music at Milliken Auditorium on Saturday the 19th.
