On Saturday, March 8th, hike, ride, and imbibe at Suds and Snow in Traverse City, an outdoor winter festival celebrating music, craft beer, and everybody’s favorite precipitation—snow.

The whole trail becomes a party as cup-toting event-goers glide, swoosh or stomp their way to and from the woods, where music lures you toward a blazing bonfire, multiple microbrew stations and food pairings. This year’s annual Suds and Snow at Traverse City’s Timber Ridge RV and Recreation Resort adds a new element—the chance to cheer on the fat-tire bike racers on a loop adjacent to the party trail.

A half-dozen local brewers will be represented, and your ride’s a hotel shuttle if you book at one of several event partner hotels. The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, for example, offers one-night’s lodging, breakfast, ticket and transportation from $90 a person. Event runs 1:30–6:30 p.m. March 8; the $20 (advance), $30 (at the door) ticket serves as a fundraiser for Child and Family Services.
