Kids, get ready to rule at Kids’ Festival Weekend at Boyne Mountain!  The resort’s newest winter event happens from March 7th to Sunday, March 9th, and is all about kids with three days of entertainment, activities, games, and special offers.

A welcome party kicks-off the weekend on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa, and features complimentary snacks and drinks, face painting, and engaging entertainment from juggler Tommy Tropic and magician Magic Mike.  Score family-friendly deals with Real Rock Friday night specials including $10.50 each for night lift tickets, tubing, and Twin Zip Rides, as well as 50% off kids’ meals in Everett’s and Stein Eriksen’s.  Complimentary horse-drawn sleigh rides and a bonfire and s’mores are offered 6 to 9 p.m., story time with Fritz takes place at 7:30 p.m., and a family movie begins at 8 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday night.

On Saturday, families and friends can gather in the Village for a cookout, snow bar with kiddie cocktails, face painting, and live entertainment from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or partake in the Splatmaster paintball event open to ages four and up with 12 target practice shots for $5.   Beginning at noon, bounce, jump and climb to the heart’s content in the complimentary inflatable obstacle course, bounce house, extreme dual air jumpers, and rock climbing wall located in the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa courtyard.  An Angry Birds-themed Twin Zip Ride competition takes place from 2 to 6 p.m. and kids can dance and play during the Family Après Ski Party at Stein Eriksen’s from 4 to 6 p.m.

Activities and events continue Sunday, and with the Winter Olympics spirit still in the air, head to the hills to compete in a variety of fun races. Ages 4-20 can race in the Silly Slalom, Seal Slide, Ski Race, and Egg Race. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Skier Services building, and awards take place following the events at 3 p.m.

The obstacle course, bounce house, air jumpers, and climbing wall reopen Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.  Also on Sunday, head to Solace Spa for Pearls and Petals from 1 to 4 p.m. for kid-friendly mini spa services for just $10 each.
