Attention all you movers, shakers and fans of modern dance in Northern Michigan!  On Sunday, March 23rd, the Dance Department of Northwestern Michigan College will present a performance entitled “Destinations: A Choreographic Journey.”  The event will take place in Traverse City, at the Milliken Auditorium of the Dennos Museum Center.  Doors at 7 pm.

The show will feature the NMC choreography and performance class and NMC modern dance students under the direction of Dorothy Eisenstein. The theme of destinations will be explored through solo dance forms performed by current NMC dance students and distinguished dance alumni. Other highlights include the NMC hip hop class under the direction of Joedy Annis. A pre-show of hoop dancing and improvisations will kick off the evening.

The performance will also feature guest artists from the community. NMC is happy to host the Urban Elements Dance Crew from Soul Step Dance Studio in Traverse City, under the direction of Soul Step founder Emily Fine.

For ticketing information, please call the Milliken Auditorium box office at 231.995.1553, or visit the Dennos Museum online.  Tickets cost $8 dollars for general admission; admission is free for children 12 and under.
