Taking place on Friday, August 22nd and Saturday the 23rd in Traverse City, the 2014 Summer Microbrew and Music Festival will be headlined by folk rocker Brandi Carlile.  The annual Northern Michigan festival is an homage to Northern Michigan beer, wine, music and food, and will feature over 200 craft-made libations and a full lineup of accomplished of performers.

The Northern Michigan festival will be held at the Village of Grand Traverse Commons near downtown Traverse City; the event will also serve as a fundraiser for local charities—including CherryT Ball and the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center—which received over $20,000 in donations during last year’s festival. Now in its 7th year, the Microbrew & Music Festival was honored as a Red Hot Best ‘Foodie & Drink Festival’ in the 2014 June issue of Traverse, Northern Michigan’s Magazine.

Tickets include five 8oz. pours, a custom tasting glass, 40 carefully selected national and international breweries with a large focus on Michigan craft brews, 200 varieties of microbrews, wines, ciders and meads, representatives or brewers from each brewery, craft beer education, and access to local food vendors.
