1) Nike Golf Camps at Boyne Highlands: July 6th–10th; 13th–17th; 27th–31st

Open to ages 10 to 18, this professional golf camp will ignite your son’s or daughter’s passion for golf. 2) Lions Youth Football Camp: June 23rd–26th

It’s a camp experience your son or daughter will never forget. Train under the Lions coaching staff as you work through drills and exercises to sharpen your football skills. Open to boys and girls of all skill levels ages 4 to 18. Kids will receive a t-shirt and the experience to meet past and present Lions players. The camp will take place at Traverse City West High School.

If your summer is jam packed already than the tennis camps at Traverse City Central Tennis courts is the best option for your athletic kiddos. 4) Mr. Soccer Camps: August 4th–8th

“Mr. Soccer” is the title awarded to the top high school soccer player in the state of Michigan, an award which camp founder Anders Kelto won at Traverse City Central High School. Two camps will be offered—one for ages 8 and under, and one for ages 9 to 14. Anders and his staff will lead you through drills that are both challenging and enjoyable. Kids will need to bring their own soccer ball, shin guards, water and cleats. Scholarships available.

5) Youth Learn to Sail

Traverse Area Community Sailing offers programs for children of all experience and age levels. The half day and full day programs vary in price but both grant the experience to learn how to sail—one of Northern Michigan’s favorite summer past times. The experienced staff at Traverse Area Community Sailing will guide your son or daughter through the waters of Michigan as they navigate their own Optimist Dinghy, Club 420’s or Lasers. Camps are offered throughout the summer.

6) Michigan Summer Kiteboarding Camp

If your kiddos are interested in non-traditional sports camps, then the Broneah 2014 Kiteboarding Camp is the perfect fit for them. Open to all ages and skill levels, your son or daughter will begin their journey at the Broneah shop in Downtown Traverse City. From there they will be swept away on a day spent traveling the Northern Michigan waters. Kids may arrive with or without equipment. Numerous dates available from June to August.
