The Traverse City Film Festival begins on July 29th and will open with a spectacular week filled with films for every moviegoer. This year’s 10th film festival will feature a new series of films at a brand new location—Grand Traverse Bay. The Traverse City Film Festival committee has paired up with the Nauti-Cat to offer you this one-of-a-kind water movie-watching experience for your Northern Michigan vacation.

Hand over your ticket at the dock and jump aboard the Nauti-Cat for a night under the stars. Bring your blankets, bring you sweatshirts, and most of all, bring your sea legs. The Traverse City Film Festival says that this one of a kind experience took a bit of scouting. “We had our world-renowned projection and sound team, Boston Light and Sound, scope out the Nauti-Cat. They’re going to mast up two screens and projectors. The boat theater will seat 35 people.”

Tickets will go on sale for festival friends on July 13th and on July 19th for the public for $20 each. Patrons are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the “theater” sets sail. Screenings start at dusk. The schedule for ‘Movies on a Boat’ is as follows:
