Traverse City’s Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present the art exhibition “Ann Loveless: Art Quilts” from August 31st to October 5th, 2014. Most recently, Loveless was awarded first place in the 2013 Art Prize Competition with her four-paneled art quilt “Sleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore.”

Loveless is a Northern Michigan textile artist who captures the beauty of Northern Michigan in her art quilts. Working from photographs, she creates realistic landscape scenes using three specialized quilting techniques that she has developed.

On Friday, September 12th at 7 pm, Loveless will present a program entitled “An Artist’s Journey—from Art Quilts to Art Prize.” The program is being presented by the Dennos Museum Center and Jordan River Arts Council Rare Threads Project.
