In Northern Michigan book news, Benjamin Busch, author of “Dust to Dust” will give a talk in Traverse City at Horizon Books on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 6 pm. His talk will focus around his return to Iraq ten years after being deployed there. An article he wrote entitled “Today is Better Than Tomorrow: A Marine Returns to a Divided Iraq” has recently been published in the October 2014 issue of Harper’s Magazine.Â
On November 19, 2014 Busch will be the guest host for a National Writers Series event with Brian Castner and Brian Turner, where he will talk to the two veterans about the story of war and the language of being human.
His talk on Saturday is free and open to the public.
