Help the Northern Michigan nonprofit AC PAW keep dogs warm this winter! They are holding a “Shelter from the Storm” drive for new/used dog houses, as well as pet food, beds, leashes, collars and more (see the full list here.) The event will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 10 am—6 pm in the parking lot of the Alden Bar & Grille in Alden.

Over the last 19 years more than 400 dog houses (half built/half donated) have been donated for the use of needy dogs that are outside during the winter months and need shelter. They are looking to get at a minimum, ten more for this winter season. Anything from plastic igloo houses to wooden houses will be accepted.

AC PAW founders Brian and June will be on hand all day to accept donations and to answer questions about volunteer opportunities, foster care, placement, dog housing project programs and more.

If you would like more information on how you can help, please contact Brian Manley: acpawbrian@torchlake.com or call 231.499.1301.

Make it a Merry Christmas for needy dogs around Northern Michigan!
