PETOSKEY: Beginning in June and running through August, Crooked Tree Arts Center will be offering classes and camps geared for youth ranging from Pre-K to high school.

The ever popular Kids Art Camps have been re-invented for this summer. Fun, week-long art camps will be available for grades 1-3 and 4-7 with morning, afternoon, and all-day options offered. Kids can participate in one morning camp, stay for the supervised lunch hour, and then jump back into art for the afternoon camp. These week-long camps are scheduled for June 22-26, July 20-24, and August 10-14.

A new workshop on the summer docket is “The Play’s the Thing: A Workshop in Theater Arts,” the perfect opportunity for budding actors and actresses to try. Acting skills and techniques, as well as lighting, sound, set design, construction, costume design, hair and make-up will be explored, giving a well-rounded look at what it takes to put on a play.

Other favorites like pottery, ballet, Music & Me, and the Summer Strings Program are open for registration too. With new classes, and the tried-and-true available, kids of all ages and interests can find something to do at CTAC in Petoskey this summer.

For more information and to register, contact the Crooked Tree Arts Center at 231-347-4337 or visit www.crookedtree.org. The Crooked Tree Arts Center is located at 461 E. Mitchell Street, downtown Petoskey, and at 322 Sixth Street, Traverse City.
