ACME: Grand Traverse Resort and Spa near Traverse City, Michigan has announced that its second annual S’mores Fest is set for June 19-21, 2015. The weekend celebration will have activities for Resort overnight guests of all ages including a S’mores Cooking Clinic and S’mores Awards with Resort Pastry Chef Stephanie Elwell, plus for the public, a large variety of s’mores-themed dishes and drinks will also be available at Resort restaurants and lounges.
Here is the full schedule of S’mores Fest activities.
FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2015
- 4:30-7:00pm – Check-in and S’mores-themed activities in the Grand Lobby. (Overnight guests only)
- 5:00-8:00pm – “S’more Drinks” at the Resort’s Lobby Bar – $10 for a flight of 5 unique S’more-inspired drinks (Must be 21). (Open to the public)
- 5:00pm – S’mores Cooking Clinic in the Resort’s Grand Lobby, featuring unique demonstrations from Resort Pastry Chef, Stephanie Elwell. (Overnight guests only)
- 5:00-12:00am – S’more dessert features at Aerie Restaurant & Lounge. (Open to the public)
- 6:00-10:00pm – S’more Station at the Resort’s private Beach Club & Outdoor Pool, featuring complimentary ingredients to build your own S’mores! (Overnight guests only)
- 8:00-9:00pm – Family movie night, featuring complimentary snack. (Overnight guests only)
- 8:00-10:00pm – “Up North Nights Summer Music Series” live beach music at the Resort’s private Beach Club & Outdoor Pool located on East Grand Traverse Bay. (Overnight guests only)
SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2015
- 7:00am-12:00pm – S’mores waffles, S’mores cheesecake and other menu items available at Sweetwater American Bistro. (Open to the public)
- 11:00am-4:00pm – S’mores-themed contests at the Resort’s Private Beach Club, including: the Resort’s Marshmallow Cannon, and more! (Overnight guests only)
- 5:00-8:00pm – “S’more Drinks” at the Resort’s Lobby Bar – $10 for a flight of 5 unique S’more-inspired drinks (Must be 21). (Open to the public)
- 5:00-12:00am – S’more dessert features at Aerie Restaurant & Lounge. (Open to the public)
- 6:00 – 10:00pm – “Kids Night Out” at the Health Club – includes creating a dessert pizza! ($25 for first child; $15 for each additional child) (Overnight guests only)
- 6:00-10:00pm – S’more Station at the Resort’s private Beach Club & Outdoor Pool, featuring complimentary ingredients to build your own S’mores! (Overnight guests only)
- 6:00-7:00pm – “The S’mores Awards,” featuring judging by Chef Stephanie Elwell and prizes awarded for the following categories: Best Flavor S’more, Most Unique S’more, Best Looking S’more. (Overnight guests only)
