When a late night snack just won’t cut it, head to one of these Traverse City restaurants that stay open late. And by late, we mean past the midnight hour. Whether you need a chicken gyro and a Greek salad or a really great burger, these local hangouts have you covered.
Kilkenny’s Irish Public House // 400 W. Front St., Traverse City
You’re in luck, Kilkenny’s menu is filled with mouthwatering grub. Their gaelic egg rolls, cheddar ale soup, and chorizo pub club will have you dancing a joyous jig. Don’t worry, their craft drinks and handcrafted brew are sure to improve your dancing skills. Pub grub available until 2:00 am except Sunday when they close at midnight.
U & I Lounge // 214 E. Front St., Traverse City
Known for their Greek cuisine, the Lounge has great gyros and a killer Greek salad. Don’t forget the baklava. If you’re not in the mood for Mediterranean, their American cuisine is just as good (may I suggest “The Real Deal” Coney Dog). Wake up your tastebuds, and check out their menu. The kitchen closes at 1:20 a.m. seven days a week.
J & S Hamburg // 302 W. Front St., Traverse City
This classic diner has been serving made-from-scratch food cooked on the same grill since 1938. Have a burger for breakfast or French toast for dinner. Homemade cake, too! Late-night hours: Wednesday–Saturday 24/7 right through until Sunday when they close at 8 p.m.
Brady’s Bar // 401 S. Union St., Traverse City
Simply put, Brady’s has great food and an even better rustic atmosphere. The tavern serves breakfast, lunch and dinner—the kitchen stays open until 1:30 a.m.
Dino’s Pizza // 543 E. 8th St., Traverse City
Pizza, breadsticks and submarine sandwiches—come on, what else do you really need? The next time you’re having an all-night movie marathon, Dino’s has your back (should we say your stomach?). Open until 1 a.m. every day except Friday and Saturday when you can get a dynamo deep dish until 3 a.m
