Blackbird Arts in Traverse City is an arts education studio focused on bringing people of all ages and skill levels to the studio to learn and explore a variety of arts. “It’s really about people being able to access arts that they weren’t able to before,” says Founder Melissa Johnson.

Their newest venture is Blackbird Book Arts and Press. Workshops are currently being offered in letterpress printing and screen printing. All classes and workshops at Blackbird Arts are led by professional artists, musicians and arts educators who come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences.
