This winter, explore the Northern Michigan outdoors at the Michigan Legacy Art Park in Thompsonville. Every Sunday in January at 2:30 p.m., a guide will lead snowshoers through the art park to see the sculptures and wildlife. The 30-acre nature preserve in Benzie County is filled with more than 40 sculptures in addition to 30 poetry stones.

Tours last about an hour and a half and start at the art park trailhead. Hikers bring their own snowshoes and should dress for the weather. Limited snowshoe rentals are available at Crystal Mountain at the Park at Water’s Edge. Call 231.378.2000 ext. 7000 for snowshoe rental information.

There is a $5 fee per adult. Youth 17 and under are free with a paying adult. Reservations are not required for this Northern Michigan event. For more information, call 231.378.4963.
