PETOSKEY: On Friday, February 5, join Ashleigh Harris of Michigan Mushroom Market, LLC, as she discusses Wild Mushroom Prep 101 during the Petoskey food event “First Fridays for Foodies.”

Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Petoskey District Library will present the “First Friday for Foodies” culinary series in CTAC’s newly renovated commercial kitchen between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. Pre-registration is not necessary, but space is limited.

During the program, Ashleigh will explain how to store, clean, and prepare a variety of fresh and dried gourmet mushrooms. She will also discuss long-term storage solutions, re-hydration methods, simple cooking techniques and preparation tips, including a stir-fry demonstration, using fresh produce and local farmers market products from fellow vendors at the CTAC Artisans and Farmers Market.
