Shorts Brewing Company Summer Party. Mark your calendars, we’re welcoming the start of our favorite season, summer! Make a trip to the pub on June 18 where we’ll be celebrating with brews, food, and tunes. The tap list will include Nicie, Power of Love, Bucktricutioner, La Mule, and more. Our friends at Moomers Homemade Ice Cream will be making delicious Short’s Beer & Starcut Ciders ice cream to be served on the patio all day long. Joe Hertler and The Rainbow Seekers will take the stage at 9 p.m. So, find your boogie board, slip on your flip-flops, and get in the summer party mood! It’s time to kick off summer!

Historic Sleeping Bear Exhibit Grand Opening. Ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 10 a.m. and activities will run through 4 p.m. The ceremony includes the National Park Service, Olsen descendants, and a special monologue written for the Olsen farm. Take a horse and wagon tour, bring your lunch and enjoy dessert and beverages provided, and music. Step into the new exhibit that tells the heritage of Port Oneida, from how the settlers arrived in the 1800s, where they came from, and the evolution of occupations in Port Oneida. Where did Port Oneida residents go? Why did they leave? What is happening with Port Oneida today? Come learn and enjoy the activities during the day at Olsen Farm located 3 miles north of Glen Arbor on M22.

Beaver Island Bike Festival. Bikers ride at their own pace and enjoy incredible scenery, island monuments, historic sites and more. BIBF begins with a Thursday night sunset dinner at the Beaver Island lodge and continues Friday and Saturday with festival parties and live bands. Plus, this year there will be a guided bike trip on Saturday with rest stop snacks and lunch at Bill Wagner campground, T-shirt, transportation on the ferry, prizes and goodies. $65 March/April or $75 May/June. Bay Harbor In-Water Boat Show. The show features in-water displays from personal water crafts to luxury yachts as well as on-land displays. Fox Motors hosts a dynamic display of Mercedes, BMW and GEM cars. Bring the kids for activities on Saturday afternoon at Bay Harbor Lake Marina. 231.439.2544.

An Evening with Martin Sexton. The show will take place at the Open Space in downtown Traverse City. The concert will feature a paella in the park picnic in amazing Tent Venue Saddle Span Tents. There will also be live music from The Accidentals, Joe Wilson with Don Julin & Kevin Gills, and an after-party with a Silent Disco DJ Dance Party paying tribute to Prince, David Bowie and beyond. 800.836.0717.
