Traverse City West Senior High School’s fall stage performance is William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors. The play takes place at the circus and is centered around two sets of identical twins who were separated at birth but come together unknowingly. What ensues is a series of comical encounters of mistaken identity when the four end up in the same location.
The performance is presented by students in the acting and stagecraft classes. Each performance is selected to showcase their skill level and to help them advance in particular skill sets offered through TC West’s Theater Department class offerings. The high school student actors demonstrate excellence in understanding Shakespearian language as they deliver lines while performing on aerial hoops and aerial silks throughout the entire play. The combination of Shakespeare and acrobatics promises to entertain all audiences who love the writer, love the circus and love seeing students conquering advanced material.
