Boyne Highlands
More than 35 kilometers of groomed trail systems provide the opportunity for an all-day tour or brisk skate—all set against a tranquil backdrop.
Boyne Mountain
Ski any of their 35 kilometers trails, from the 2-kilometer trail “The Pancake” to the 4.5-kilometer trail “The Vistas.” If you want to learn basics, lessons are available and it’s a great family activity! Kids 8 and under ski free.

Caberfae Peaks
The MacKenzie Cross Country Ski Trail is 15 kilometers long, with trails for all ability levels, whether you are a beginner or an Olympian. The trail takes the skier through Northern Michigan hardwoods.

Hanson Hills is located in Grayling and they offer groomed trails with several levels of difficulty. They offer a special trail to take your pooch on a ski with you!
The HomesteadGlide through Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and enjoy the serenity and natural beauty on a hilly route or a smooth and flat one.
Leelanau Trail
During the winter the Leelanau Trail is groomed for cross country skiing. This 17-mile stretch features picturesque forests, farms, vineyards, lakes and ponds.
Shanty Creek
Bring your own equipment and ski the trails or rent some for a day trip on the 30 kilometers of groomed and track-set trails.
Sleeping Bear Dunes
There are several trails to choose from including the partially finished Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail that is flat, but scenic. If you’re looking for a challenge, take on Alligator Hill.
Vasa Trail
The Vasa is a great place to get outside for a workout or a enjoy a leisurely pace. If you’re a racer, they hold several races throughout the winter.
