PETOSKEY: In conjunction with 20th-anniversary festivities throughout the month of May, City Park Grill is hosting Eating for Others. Dine out, and 20 percent of all dinner food sales on Wednesday, May 3, 10, 17, and 24, will benefit area non-profit organizations.
Organizations were selected following staff collaboration to compile a list of 10 local, deserving charities; Wineguys Restaurant Group Frequent Diners narrowed the list to four including Little Traverse Conservancy, Manna Food Project, Women’s Resource Center, and Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council. A Month-Long Celebration
In addition to charitable dinners, City Park Grill’s May calendar is full of events, features, giveaways, and the Annual Morel Mushroom Wine Dinner, a tradition started 20 years ago. “We began hosting wine dinners from the start in 1997,” says Bob Keedy, Wineguys Restaurant Group partner (Wineguys Restaurant Group owns City Park Grill, Palette Bistro, and Roast & Toast—all located in Petoskey). “Marking our 20th year is exciting, and we are proud to continue our wine dinner tradition.”
The four-course wine dinner (Thursday, May 18) is paired with Beringer Wines with optional 2002 and 1996 Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon tastings. Early reservations are strongly recommended. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $55 per person. A full menu can be viewed online.
